Security Receptionists
Premiers’ Security Receptionists are charged with a responsibility that may have a lasting impact on the success of an organisation. Therefore, making a good first impression is critically important. All of our Reception staff undergo extensive customer-service training, ensuring a positive and helpful attitude at all times.
The following list of occupational tasks is specific to this career.
- Greet people visiting the office. Determine the purpose of their visit and direct them to the proper place.
- Watch visitor area to maintain security.
- Operate telephone switchboard to receive and forward calls and schedule appointments.
- Keep track of staff whereabouts so calls are properly handled.
- Provide information to the public about the company, its services, and its products.
- Quote prices or rates for products or services. Take and process orders.
- Refer to catalogues, directories, or databases to answer questions.
- Collect and distribute messages and mail for other employees.
- Type, file, open, and sort mail. Update appointment calendars.
- Transmit information to customers, using computers, mail, or fax machines.
- Receive payments and record receipts for services.
- Keep visitor area neat and organised.
- May perform other administrative tasks, such as typing, proofreading, or transcribing.
- Monitor on-site CCTV systems
- Monitoring, issue and take receipt of Identification Cards.
